Home Depot - Beware of Installation Mis-Information
Appliance - Complaint
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- The sales associates do not give you all the information concerning installation or removal of the appliance, in this case a dishwaher. No where in the check list they give nor any verbal communication is given concerning reasons why the installers will not remove or install the appliance. I had to find out from the installation technician that they would not install the unit because of code requirements.
When I pointed out that the literature given to me said they were to remove and haul off the old dishwasher, which is the most work, they said company policy dictated that they were not supposed to remove anything if they were not installing it. One of the major reasons I purchased the unit was that they would do the removal and installation.
Talking to the store manager will only get you lip service. There was no attempt to rectify the situation at the store. Consequently, I will never buy another major appliance from Home Depot.
