Discover Card - Failed Customer Service
"It" - Complaint
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- I had been embarrasssed by this company for the last time!
I had my card “not read” at three separate merchants. The 1st was at my children’s day care. The 2nd time was when I was attempting to leave a Credit Card Only parking garage. The 3rd and Final time was at a Day Spa where my co-worker and I went to get a quick eye brow waxing. (I didn’t bring anything but the 2nd “It” card that was mailed to me.)
I was explosive with the initial operator who had empathized with me via a script. And I say this because no matter what I said he only replied “I would be so upset if I were in your shoes.” To empathized with no emotion, is like the worst form ever. I literally had to hang up on him because clearly he could not relate! The 2nd representative was a bit more empathetic and actually apologized and then offered to remove a balance transfer fee after he spoke to his “Stupervisor”. I held for maybe 7+ minutes to be told that they couldn’t do it. He then proceeded to tell me the reason why my cards, with a “s”, kept declining was because I must of used them at the same shopping center. Really? Excuses? Tasteless.
I would have appreciated it if they told me that the cards are like Hotel Keys, keep them away from your cell phone.
