Dish Network - Terrible Customer Service and Huge Surprise Fees
CS, Loyalty and Account "Specialists" - Complaint
UTAH, UTAH -- One star is too generous for this company.
On 5/4 I cancelled my contract to dish. I spoke to TWO different agents (Rosy D ID: JKF and Brian ID: LR9) who BOTH assured me (multiple times) my account was in good standing and paid off. A week later I called again to double check, and again the agent ASSURED me (many times, of course) my account was in good standing and no other charges would be incurred.
TWO MONTHS later (7/9) I get a bill for nearly 150. WHAT?! So of course I got back on with customer service (Carmina ID:802) and they said "Since the early termination fee was not disclosed to you properly before disconnecting the account I will need to redirect you over to the account specialists that took care of your disconnect request."
Then I talk to Kelley (ID bvr) and she is even less helpful and says, basically, sorry the agents gave you WRONG information, but there's nothing I can do. To make matters worse, I can't even LOG ON to my account anymore because it's been more than a month since I've closed the account. WHAT?!
Save yourself the headache and huge surprise bills and dump Dish. Better yet, don't even sign up in the first place. Netflix and Hulu are so much more convenient AND cheaper. Ridiculous!
