Store and Insurance Company - Complaint
FOREST HILL, MARYLAND -- I purchased a top of the line phone from Verizon and the screen cracked. I also purchased the insurance at the same time I purchased the phone. I went to the store to get a new phone the warranty said I would get a phone of equal value or the same phone . The store I went to was out of stock on my phone and a phone of equal value. They had 1 phone that was not of equal value it had a keyboard and only 5 pixels
I told the sales Rep that I did not want a keyboard and that I take a lot of pictures. I want 8 pixels or close to it...The sales Rep called the insurance company and told them that I did not want the pantech model ADR910LVW, that I would keep my phone with the broken screen ( because it does still work ) We were told that I would not get that phone ...I was charged 100 dollars and guess what phone I got in the mail !!! I called the insurance company and was told we have no control over what you are sent.
I went over to the Verizon store and had the sales Rep call. He told the customer service person that he had that phone in stock and that he specifically told them that I did not want that phone. The superviser was put on the phone. I explained to him that I did not want that phone and I told them that from the start and I would use my broken phone. Please refund my 100 dollars and I will return your phone because I don't want this phone.
I was told we can't can't do that you are stuck with that phone. So I am out of 100, and all of the money that I paid in insurance over the past yr and stuck with a phone I won't use.... DO NOT BUY THE INSURANCE PLAN IT'S A JOKE !!!!!!!!! I will be canceling that and will never purchase it again. I got no help from VERIZON OR THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT TOOK MY 100 DOLLARS ...
