Wasted 6 Years as a Loyal Customer Just to Be Treated Like Garbage. Goodbye Hotwire!
All - Complaint
NATIONAL, MASSACHUSETTS -- Believe what everyone said. Don't use Hotwire. And this is coming from a SIX-YEAR customer whom Hotwire had ZERO qualms about losing.
1st strike: I had booked a hotel around a time a relative was very sick and had a chance of passing. So I purchased the cancellation insurance for this reason as a responsible customer. It just so happened that my relatives did pass away. Guess what????? Hotwire's insurance did not cover the loss of a grandparent. Only immediate family members. Thank's for making that clear, jerks.
2nd strike: I double booked. Refused to refund me. Basically questioned me and indirectly told me they felt I was lying and didn't understand how I could of possibly double-booked. Said it didn't matter that I was an old customer and kept reading the god*** policies to me as if I hadn't read them already! Thanks for your help.
3rd strike.: NOT WAITING FOR IT.
I have booked EVERYTHING with them...all personal travel and work travel even knowing that this company offers no reward system whatsoever for its customers. They do nothing at all to appreciate their customers. Zero.
I have since them booked 5 different trips/hotels with other companies (that also offer Rewards unlike Hotwire). Plenty of fish in the sea. But Hotwire doesn't think so
