Direct TV - Does Not Accommodate Military Families
CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA -- My husband left for his deployment in December and was scheduled to return in September. I decided to stay at my parents home to try and save money for that 9 months. So I cancelled all utilities I could but Direct TV refused to work with me. Because my name (not his) is on the bill they could only suspend my service but for just 6 months... And can not transfer to his name since it is bound to my SSN. So I decided to suspend for the 6 months and after that was up I had asked to cancel the account but was informed that I would have to pay $200 fee and return the equipment within 21 days, which was impossible since I am on the otherside of the country. Now I have to pay for 3 months of service that I can't even watch. Not very military friendly if you ask me.
