AT&T - Moved to an Area With No Service, but They Don't Care
Resolutions - Complaint
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I have been with AT&T for 1 year and the service was fine. Then I moved to a dead zone. Hard to believe there are dead zones in NYC but there are and I live there. I called AT&T and explained to them my situation and they wanted to charge me $199.99, to purchase a Microcell that will allow me to have better service. Why do I have to pay more $$? It should be free.
Later I was told I qualified for a free Microcell, since I am on a family plan and pay over $300.00 a month. It was never mailed to me. It's been 2 weeks and they still can't get a hold of the original Rep. that promised it to me. I called for the 4th time today and was told someone would get back to me in 72 hours. My advice: make sure you confirm that you will have service before signing an AT&T contract. They told me and I quote, "We provide wireless service but we can't guarantee service everywhere." What fine print was that written on?!
