Sears Complaint - Exhorbitant late charges continue
Shopping at Sears last year, I was encouraged to get a Sears Mastercard credit card as the clerk would get a bonus if I signed up.
I was a fool, but I did it.
I never received the credit card itself, nor a bill of any kind. It slipped my mind entirely until they called me about the "late payment." I paid in full the charged amount due over the phone by electronic transfer, but asked that they waive the late payments due to the fact that I had never received anything in writing from them. The representative I was speaking with agreed to do so.
Since then, however, I have received threatening and harrassing phone calls - left as messages on my home answering machine.
I wrote to the corporate office twice, but have not received any satisfaction. Although I have held a Sears credit card since I graduated from high school more than 30 years ago (originally in my maiden name), I will NEVER give Sears my business again.
