ASHLAND, OREGON -- If you will look up the Bad Taste B & B review for a rental period beginning June 1, 2013, supposedly written by Wayne, you will find a litany of self serving lies and misleading statements, falsely attributed to the renter..

In my review I was mostly positive but said the place needed SERIOUS TLC and that families with toddlers should NOT rent this property. None of this shows up in the owner written puff piece.

In fact the place is a nest of mold, mildew, and mice. It is also filled with dangerous nooks and crannies that children could easily fall down and out of, causing serious harm to the unlucky victim.

The dirt road is not only dusty, but filled with dangerous curves. It is not too bad in daytime, but at night (after one enjoys a Shakespearian play in Ashland), it is truly dangerous.

She claims that it takes 20 minutes to get to Ashland. If anyone ever tried to achieve that goal, he or she would be killed. If fact the owner's brother was killed not too long ago on this very road trying to take a curve at a dangerous speed!

If the property were ever inspected, it would have to be rebuilt from the ground up to meet any sensible building codes.

We have stayed in 20 or more VRBOs over the years and have had decent results. But their new policy of letting self serving owners rewrite truthful reviews puts an end to any more VRBOs for us.

It looks like the owner has used the "Guest comment entered by owner" a few times. It will come back to bite him if he is playing with what the person had originally said. Like in this case he has been caught, shame, shame!

We have stayed in a couple B and B's while in the area for the Shakespeare Festival. It's nice to wake up to a nice home cooked breakfast and meet new friends, Verses locking yourself away in a motel/hotel room.

Our favorite is up the #5 a bit in Roseburg, the C.H. Bailey House. Check it out.
