VILLE PLATTE, LOUISIANA -- My claim - I was at work and I stood up my back started hurting. I was doing nothing just finishing my lunch. I was a driver my last run for that day was a motorized wheel chair. I didn't have pull or pick up anything but because I was at work my claim was denied by at least ten employees who pass me around to each other.

I got tired getting the run around, I told this one person who sound like she cared, I have two children depending on me, she stopped and prayed with me for about 20 minutes. Finally someone who cared. Then she told she had to hang up on me because she got two kids depending on her to deny my claim, if they paid all claims that would put her in the unemployment line.

If you were legitimately injured on your job your employer should have worker's compensation insurance to help you. AFLAC would be secondary to that and pay for whatever they do not.

You may have to prove how just standing up and injuring yourself is the responsibility of the company using worker's comp.
