Sears Delivery - Horrendous Service - 2 Days Late - Buyer Beware
Bedding - Complaint
SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA -- I bought a mattress, boxspring, and frame from Sears. Store personnel were good. I was assured that there was van delivery due to the hilly area where I live. I was given a day and time for delivery. On that day the delivery people called and said that the merchandise had been put on a truck instead of a van and could not make it up the hill even though I had very specifically ordered a van. Very rude delivery company said they could only deliver two days later despite the fact that I had taken the day off from work.
Two days later they arrived in a truck ! and damaged the driveway. The two delivery men seemed to come straight out of San Quentin. They were super scary. They said that Sears had lied and that van delivery was not available even though two days earlier they had said that the merchandise had been put on a truck instead of a van. Where did the van disappear to? They said they didn't even own a van. I was very glad when they left. Who are these people? Why does Sears deal with these very questionable people? In the past I have shopped Sears but never had to deal with delivery. Never again.
Buyer beware. Do not shop at Sears if you have to have your goods delivered unless you want to have a couple of ex-convict types come to your home two days after they have guaranteed delivery.
