Whirlpool - Obvious Issue With Design of Duet Washer (Ripping Clothes) and Customer Service States It Is Not a Known Issue
Purchased a new W9150WW Duet Washer in July 2010. Had a couple issues with clothing (or parts of clothing) getting caught in the drain. Always told it was an overload issue, and the rips were from the dryer. Proof that it is the washer, so now it is just explained as an overload issue. Even small (tiny) loads get things ripped.
Finally located an online complaint site with many of the same issues listed. Calls to Whirlpool service stated there is no recall, and not reason for a recall. I asked for a manager, was told I would get a call back - nothing.
BBB complaint has been entered, but until they admit to a fauly product and make the recall (and restitution for torn clothing) NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL product again.
