Wachowski Brothers Complaint - V for Vendetta to be released on ST. PATRICKS DAY?!!

Review by N. on 2006-03-14
Yes, I am very disturbed by the fact that V for Vendetta, a movie that promotes women shaving their heads, MTV, and just about everything that's wrong with society today, is going to be released on St. Patricks Day, which is a holy day and arguably the most important day out of the year for Irish folk. I hope all Irish people alike do what they can to NOT watch this movie on St. Patricks Day and instead go and celebrate their heritage. Why couldn't they AT LEAST release the movie on another day out of the year? You have 364 others to choose from.

This is about as pathetic as all the "Christians" that boycotted stores for not saying Merry Christmas! St Patricks Day is known for people getting drunk and acting like fools how is ANY movie taking away from that?

'Holy' day? Not according to my Catholic calendar, nor my Church. Anyway, wasn't he 'de-sainted?'

I agree with Doc, it should be boycotted, it's horrible to show a movie like that on St. Patricks Day!! Its demeaning to all of us leprechauns!!
