Universal ATT and Direct TV - Plan and Service Fee

BUFORD, GEORGIA -- We are paying $200.00 per month for AT&T Univers. We have the middle tier. These are the fees we are being charged:

Plan and Services - $41.84
ATT Long Distance Services - $9.98
Internet Services - $41.00
Direct TV - $103.79
TOTAL MONTHLY BILL - $196.61

The "Plan and Services" fee is what I do not understand. AT&T nor Direct TV will tell me what the charges are for. We are in a 2-year contract that was never mentioned when we signed up for the services. I guess that is our fault because we did not read the very fine print.

Our bill was not this high with Charter. The bad part, all of these companies are ripping the customers off. The FCC will not do anything about these customer because they get a certain percentage of the cost.

It is at the point we no longer can afford to have satellite services.

Do as we did: cancel the cable television part with Charter, do not get the phone(you will eventually be sorry you have it), keep charter internet(30mbs), buy a Roku box for $50 and start streaming. You can get unlimited Netflix streaming direct to your telly for $7.99, many free channels, etc. Something to look into. Paying for cable tv, no matter from whom, is simply a waste of money. Streaming is the new and better "thing."
