SKOKIE, ILLINOIS -- Since my husband bought his Grand Caravan last year, he's been having trouble with one tire that keeps losing pressure and causes the warning light to turn on. He's had it looked at over and over again in the last year and Sherman service said they can't find anything wrong.

Well, today he went out and the tire is completely flat. We bought the extra service warranty, so he called them. They told us that it was still under warranty, so he should call Sherman. Sherman said it's not under warranty anymore so call the service warranty provider. So instead, on a day that's 100 degrees in Chicago, my husband is out in the heat trying to change the tire himself.

DON'T BUY A CAR FROM SHERMAN DODGE. DON'T BUY A SERVICE PLAN BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SEEM TO EVER KICK IN. They sweet talk you into buying the car and the service plan, and then they don't stand behind their product, including the insurance. I am VERY disappointed. I will not be buying a car from this rip off place. It's a new car dealer but they act like used car salesmen! Do yourself a favor and stay away!

It's rare for a warranty to cover consumable items (tires, brake pads, filters, etc.) .

Their service warranties cover going out and changing your tire?

When did it get up to 100 degrees in Chicago?

After all this time, it ended up being the sensor, not the tire, that was the problem. That would be covered, but the deductible is more than getting it fixed by a different mechanic. Their mechanics must not be very good since they couldn't find it after a year of complaints and the independent mechanic found it the first time he looked at it.
