Kroger - Would Not Accept Return of a Small Refrigerator
Customer Service - Complaint
Resolution Update on 07/29/2013:
The rest of the story: To be fair, I should have mentioned I am one of the world's worst procrastinators. Kroger's policy is to accept returns like this within 30 days after purchase, and I was trying to return outside of the 30-day window. Kroger sent me an email offering to replace the item.
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS -- I bought a small refrigerator (4.0 cu ft) from my local Kroger. It never worked when I plugged it in. I tried to return it, but was told I would have to contact the manufacturer (it was my problem, not theirs). It's a great place to buy groceries, but when you see special sales on small appliances (typically at the end of aisles), think twice before you buy one. If you buy a comparable item at say, a Target or Walmart, at least you'll be able to return it if it doesn't work.
