Home Depot - Delivered a Washer and Dryer. the Dryer Was Damaged and Not in Working Order.
Delivery Services - Complaint
ARNOLD, MISSOURI -- Purchased a washer and dryer at Home Depot on 7/10/2013 and had to wait almost 2 weeks for it to be delivered. My husband and I decided that he would install them himself when he returned home from work. So we had it all hooked up and ready to use but it would just not turn on. All we would get is a humming noise and the dryer drum would just not turn. Being the handy man that my husband is he took the back off of the dryer to see if he could figure out what the problem was. What he found was a broken fan and a lot of dings on it like it had been dropped. So of course I get on the phone to Home Depot and they give me the # of the service group to call so of course I call them and they tell me that they can come out on Friday to repair it but there time frame for repair is from 8:00-5:00 but I don't want it repaired I want a new one. I shouldn't have to repair a new dryer already. So I call Home Depot back again and the manager gives me the # for the delivery co. and states that they will deliver a new one if I report it within 3 days of delivery.
Of course I called them and they were closed already. Very frustrated at this time. When you purchase something new you should not have to deal with careless delivery men that deliver broken appliances.
