NORTH CAROLINA -- I booked a round trip from NC to New Delhi. My return flight had 2 stops - Austria & Germany. I called up Travelocity to check if I need to have Visa to catch connecting flights as I am on H1B Visa in United States. The person on call said I don't need any Visa as I am only catching connecting flights. So I went ahead with the booking. Later heard from my friends, I need Schegen Visa. I called back Travelocity, they are asking $290 change of flight fee and difference in the rate of new booking. This was very frustrating experience. I booked 2 tickets and it cost me over $1000 for fixing the reservation.

I will never recommend this agency to anybody for booking. The person on call also gave the wrong baggage information for the flight I booked. So, you cannot trust their staff. They are not trained at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Third party travel agencies are not the best source of legal information. Yes - the agent should have known the answer to your question but then again, so should you.

Had you dealt with a proper travel agent, you could have received the information you were looking for - but if you were uncertain, you could have looked up the information yourself because ultimately, it is your responsibility to make sure you have all the correct documents before travel.
