Dish Network - Past Due Account and Missing Equipment

HELENA, MONTANTA -- I had my service cancelled and sent to collection. I contacted Dish and sent back all the equipment including some I paid for, they lost it. I sent them the UPS tracking #'s and they said they had no record of them. So, I sent them again. Again, they couldn't find the stuff and in the meantime I still get calls from a collection agency and my credit is damaged.
I thought the account was settled and finished over 3 years ago. Then I get all of this mess. Be careful of dish they bill for service and equipment they don't provide and overcharge for what they do provide. Watch your bill VERY CLOSELY!!! Try to do business with a company that has an office in your town or real close to you so you can talk to person face to face and not on the phone. I have been told that some companies like Dish aren't above defrauding the public with shady billing practices and hidden fees.
If you feel like your bill isn't right PLEASE call the Better Business Bureau or your local chamber of commerce or even your state attorney general's office for information and to lodge a formal complaint. remember an overcharge of only 2 dollars isn't much but X 10,000,000 customers it ads up.
