Allied Home Warranty - Allied Does Not Deserve Your Time or Money
Home warranty for central A/C repair - Complaint
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Allied sent a technician to evaluate my A/C problem and the tech said repairs to the unit would cost me $1,000 out of my pocket to replace defective parts. I'm talking labor only since the unit was still under mfgr warranty for parts and the mfgr would provide replacement parts (only), but not labor to replace them. Allied absolutely refused to cover the repairs citing their 1-page contract that states they don't cover warrantied products...get a life Alied, the labor was not under warranty and you should have paid the repair bill, PLUS, you made repairs to this unit twice in the past year without concern about the mfgr warranty...reckon you really do repairs on systems under warranty when the cost is minimal!
Long story, short...I opted to replace the unit at $2K (yes, at my expense) rather than spend half that to repair a unit that had already lived 80% of its expected life. Oh, by-the-way, if you need to talk to anyone above that person that processes work orders, forget it, Allied's Customer Service Dept is on permanent vacation...you simply will not be important to this company once they cash your check for their so-called warranty, but if you already paid them and they are not producing as promised, just demand a refund of your money...I did, and they agreed to the refund. DON"T WASTE YOUR HARD-EARNED BUCKS ON SCAM BUSINESSES!
