Ikea - Missing Drawers in a Bed and They Won't Ship Them. I Have to Return What I Bought and Get a New One.
Beds - Complaint
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I drove 2.5 hours each way to Ikea in Charlotte, NC for a bed and table top. The girl in the beds department answered questions about the bed I wanted, made sure that I knew the slats for it were extra, and offered to print out a "pick list" so that I was sure to get the right thing... it was the wrong bed. I wanted the Brimnes with storage, which I not only told her, but actually showed her, and what I got was the Brimnes without storage. The fact that they have two (apparently completely separate) products with the same name is not her fault. The fact that they will not send me the box with the storage component, even if I pay for it, is the fault of crappy customer service. I was told that the only way to rectify this unfortunate incident is to return the bed I have and purchase the right one, which means another day wasted, another 5 hour round trip drive and a huge pain in my neck. Absolutely horrible customer service.
