Town North Nissan Complaint - BAD SERVICD FROM NISSAN

Review by reeser on 2006-03-17
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- DO NOT, under any circumstance, do business with these crooks. Not only is their customer service awful, they can also get away with seling you the wrong vehicle! The BBB didn't help in my case, which is was very easy.

After screwing up my purchase (that included a trade-in of a very nice 02 Maxima) and dragging it out over a 6 week period, that involved no returned calls, lack of willingness to help, I ended up with a truck that was the wrong color. They refuse to take it back. Matter of fact, when i asked, they would not even offer to replace it with one of the right color.

I copmplained to the BBB, took it to arbitration, and lost. That took 6 months! Now I'm stuck with a truck in a color I absolutely hate. There is no justice for the little guy in the world.

All I can do is spread the negative word. DON"T GO to TOWN NORTH NISSAN in Austin, TX!!!! You will get screwed!!

Don't listen to JayD, he is probably a paid employee (or the owner) of the dealership. I can not speak to the original posters experience but I can say that this dealership is one of the most crooked ones you will ever come in contact with. They will lie to you about service completed, charge you for service you never asked for, tell you something is needed when it is not and even worse. This dealership took advantage of me the weekend my father passed away. I took my murano in for service for the road trip to handle my fathers affairs on Thursday and was assured that it would be completed by that afternoon so I could be on the road Friday morning. The service was not completed until Sunday evening causing me to miss my fathers funeral. I took the car in at 10:00am Thursday morning, they called at 4:50 pm to tell me what was "wrong" and said they would not be able to get to it until the next morning. I called the next morning at 7L30 am and told them to forget it and that I would be in to pick up the vehicle so I could leave. They told me that the work had been done the night before. So sometime between the last 10 minutes they were open and the first 30 minutes they were open the next morning, they completed 4 hours of work which they were trying to charge me labor for. I asked to see the time cards of the mechanic that did the work and they refused. I tried to come in Friday morning to pay for the fake service so I could just leave and was told I could not have my car back because the state inspection all of a sudden turned up a bad catalytic converter and it would take the rest of the day to fix it. Turning down this repair was not even allowed. They told me they could not allow the vehicle to leave in that state. This was all simply a ploy to give them time to do the service that I told them not to do that they told me had already been done. More unbelievable things happened than just this but too much to capture here. In the end, the car was not released back to me until late Sunday afternoon with well over $400.00 of service performed that was not performed, and they charged me for new windhsield wiper blades on top of it all even though I never asked for them, nor did they actually give me new blades. They just charged me for them. The BBB did nothing for me in my case either. Greg Workman was the individual behind this entire fiasco and should be fired at the least if not arrested. Never do business with this dealership or this individual if you desire to not be taken advantage of.
