Sears Service Protection Plan Very Dissatisfied
Kenmore Refrigerator - Complaint
CALIFORNIA -- We purchased a Kenmore Refrigerator Feb 2013 from our local Home Town Sears store, also purchased the Protection plan. Well, on July 5th the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called repair and they said it would be repaired on July 15th we had to wait for the parts. OK, I explained my Grand kids would be here and this was a great problem. Anyway nothing I could do. Well, on July 12, still no parts.
I called repair, spent two hours trying to get answers from customer care etc. just got the run around .They offered to rent a replacement but then said no because it was purchased from a franchise store. I was leaving my home for a week so could not contact anyone. The parts finally showed up and the repair was done on July 24 th. Guess what, still not working. I called repair, I would have to wait 24 hours for the repair man to down load his notes. Well, the next day I went back to my Home Town Store and guess what, they exchanged my unit finally satisfaction.
Moral of this story Home Town store great Sears Repair not what it says it is. Now I need to get my food spoilage credit I will see how it goes.
