PORTLAND, OREGON -- Okay, I actually work at a call center for another carrier, and I cannot tell you how many complaints I get about the service that carrier provides. I would say that 90% of complaints that I hear come from PEOPLE WHO DO NOT REVIEW THEIR BILLING AND USAGE on a regular basis, nor do they pay their bill on time. Here's the thing. I've been with Verizon for 13 years. I keep track of my usage and billing information, I pay my bill on time, and therefore have NEVER had to call into customer service (except one time when I didn't keep track of my payment date - but that was my screw up, not Verizon's).
The service has always been great, and I don't have any complaints. So, my message to everyone who has had problems with any of the major cellular carriers is simply this: PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME (deadbeats), and KEEP TRACK OF YOUR PLAN AND USAGE SO YOU HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION AND UNDERSTAND ALL THE CHARGES (morons), and you'll never have a problem with any of the major carriers.
Okay, towers do go out occasionally, and not all areas get great coverage. If you want better cellular coverage, then stop blaming innocent customer care agents, and MOVE TO A BIGGER CITY. Your bad coverage is YOUR PROBLEM, not the carrier's. Don't be ignorant and stupid. Just pay your bill on time, move to a better coverage area, keep track of your usage, and life will be better for all. That is it.
