The Limited, Inc. Complaint - Complaint Letter
BLAIN, MINNESOTA -- To Whom it May Concern:
I am frequent shopper of both your Express and Limited stores. I like the quality and style of the clothing offered. However, in a recent visit to your store, I ran into a situation that I could not fail to bring to your attention. My daughter was trying to find a pair of black slacks to wear for New Years Eve. The sign on the rack said "Sale - Microtwill Pants - $29.50, regular $44.50". As you know, you have several styles of microtwill pants, and many varieties were on this particular rack. Nowhere on the sign did it say specifically which style was on sale. As I work in retail myself, I know that in my store we could not get away with not giving the sale price for any item that was on that rack that met the criteria mentioned on the sign. This was not a case of just one or two pairs moved around, but at least half of the slacks on the rack were not the bootcut style that we later found out to be the only style on sale. My daugter waited in line for at least a half an hour to purchase a pair from the rack that she believed to be on sale, only to be told that just the "bootcut" style was on sale. I find this outrageous. My daughter ended up buying the a pair of black pants in a different store. In the very least, I would like a response of some kind. I cant believe you do business this way. In my store, we would have to give that person the sale price for those pants. I am on the verge of not shopping in your store again because of this.
