Lowe's Extended Washer Warranty - A Month?
Whirlpool Washer - Complaint
PASO ROBLES, CALIFORNIA -- The start button on my 3 year old Whirlpool washing machine quit starting the washer even though all the other lights indicated washer should be working. Had purchased an extended warranty on the washer and called Lowe's. They gave me the name of the local repair service person to contact (A.J.'s Appliance Repair in Atascadero).
They came out the following day and diagnosed the problem. Being the first of July they figured it would be at least a week to get the necessary part to do the repair due to the 4th of July holiday week-end. Received an e-mail from the parts department that the part had been shipped on July 3rd. By the 10th I still hadn't heard from AJ's so I called AJ's who claimed they had not yet received the part. (Must be on a slow boat from China)!
Called the parts department number to ask them how it was shipped and for a tracking number. They could not provide but assured me it would arrive within a day or two. Next day AJ's has the part and will install the following day. Guess what - Wrong part. Must reorder. It is now nearly a month, still no washer repair. AJ's has new part but has missed 2 appointments to install so far. Another appointment today the 29th of July, we'll see if it happens and if the washer ever gets fixed.
