I purchased a Jenn-Air Slide-In range when remodeling my kitchen. After months of slow death, the control panel is now totally kaput--cannot even set the clock.
I contacted Jenn-Air about a replacement to find out one costs approx. $300 (just the part). Jenn-Air considers this part failure "normal wear and tear", despite the oven being useless without it. They refuse to replace the part, even at their cost. In researching, I found this part failure is quite common, some appliance repair specialists saying it does not stand up to heat and moisture. Many people have replaced their panel multiple times.
No one should have to be putting that type of money into repairing a major appliance after a few years. I bought Jenn-Air because I was under the impression they built quality products. Their poor quality and poor customer service make them a losing proposition for anyone remodeling or upgrading a kitchen.
