ATLANTA, MASSACHUSETTS -- My bank DCU, www.dcu.org, is offering free credit reports supplied from Equifax, www.equifax.com. But all the email you get is your credit score number nothing else is in the free email.
On 7/31/13 DCU sends me the Equifax credit number 654, which is in Equifax's "Not Good" credit bracket.
On 8/1/13 I subscribe to Equifax to find out why my credit number is so low. My credit score in their website is 704, which is in their "Good" credit bracket.
Thus, Equifax is providing false low numbers in their free service to create unnessasary subscribers and possibly DCU is getting paid for sending the emails.

You are entitled to one free credit report (from all 3) every year. I've been using CreditKarma.com for over two years and it gives you all kind of information. It's free and here is even a report questioning whether it's a scam or not...and it's not.
