Verizon Cell Phones
RESTON, VIRGINIA -- I purchased a phone on June 7,2013. The order was for a new phone to be ported into my Verizon Acct the phone arrived with a Wirefly supplied phone number. The porting was impossible to complete, because the Sim card was locked and could not accept a new phone number, (the number I wanted to port). Verizon gave me a new Sim card and thereby created a new account. The Wirefly account was closed. I was then double billed for the Wirefly original number, and the number I was ported over too. Verizon could see that I was being double billed and cleared the charges on the Wirefly phone number.
In steps Simplexity advising me they are the collection agency for Wirefly wanting to collect $400.00 for my discontinued phone service. I am stuck in the middle and have been fighting with them for 10 days. Wirefly defrauded me by selling me a phone that could not be ported without changing the sim card.
