Ashley Furniture Stores - Lack of Customer Service After Having Bought Many Articles From Store
Customer Service and Mooresville Store - Complaint
CHARLOTTE, NEW YORK -- Purchased new dining room set a few years ago and the store personal recommended buying a protection plan which would cover any damage via accident either by replacing or fixing. The plan with Montege was really sort of an insurance plan that if went unused for 5 years the cost would be reimbursed.
A house plant was placed in the middle of the table and the leaves caused bubbles and a technician was finally sent from Montege to take a picture and to see if the dining room table could be fixed. He immediately told us that it could not be fixed and Ashley would have to order a replacement table. Ashley left us a message that the set had been discontinued and Montage would be calling. They called and would not negotiate a settlement so that we could replace the table. They offered us a cash settlement that was about 50% of what we paid for the table along. The other option was to pick something out at Ashleys so we went to the store and could not find anything close in size or that would compliment our chairs and hutch. Spoke to the store personal and they suggested to call Customer Service which we did. After leaving three messages the Manager, Carla called and was nasty
obstinate and talked over us many times while we were trying to explain our situation. She said Montege did the right thing so take it or leave it!!
