Sears Appliances, Services and Warranties Are Not What They Used to Be.
Kenmore Elite Refrigerator - Complaint
Our refrigerator went out in July 2013 just after a little less than three years. We lost all of our food. It took 2 weeks for Sears to send a repairman. The repairman came but then he couldn't do anything because the refrigerator was unplugged!! Who leaves a non-working appliance plugged in!! So they came back put Freon in it and said we have a leak...but it'll take two weeks to find if it's leaking in an area covered under warranty and can be fixed.
Two weeks later repairman came and said it's leaking Freon, can't be fixed and Sears would need to give us a new refrigerator. I called Sears and they said that they need to wait 6 months to see if the Freon leaks out again!!! How stupid is that!! If the Freon leaked once it's going to leak again because the leak's not fixed!! So, either we lose all our food again soon, or the refrigerator will go out again in the future- but it won't be under warranty then!!! After being a Sears customer of Sears for 35 years, I'll never buy from Sears again!!
