Time Warner Cable - Over Charged

EL PASO, TEXAS -- I canceled my service at the end of April. The representative that I was talking to said that I am all paid up until May 7th. I returned the internet box shortly after. I then get a charge on my credit card in June. I tried calling TWC but they said that it was from April.
I didn't understand how they could charge me after I already canceled the service and the representative told me I was paid up until beginning of May. They were not helpful so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I then get a phone call from a collections agency two months later. I called my credit card who said that TWC didn't provide any documentation explaining the charges. They simply reported me to a collection agency. They didn't want to work with my credit card company at all. So then, I was forced to either let this charge affect my credit score, pay for it, or take TWC to court.
I am a very unhappy customer. Because I didn't want to deal with them anymore, I just paid it. Because they reported me to the collection agency, They charged me $8 on top of the charge. I will not deal with them again and I would recommend to anyone out there that they do the same.
