Priceline - NO Refunds, NO Exceptions. Ever!
Hotel - Complaint
NORWALK, CONNECTICUT -- My complaint is simple. I needed 2 hotel rooms. Priceline app ONLY gave me option of booking ONE at a time. In good faith, I booked the first room and IMMEDIATELY booked the 2nd. But it was "sold out."
"No problem," I thought. I will just call and explain, and get a refund. Or book the 2nd room.
Nope. Not going happen. The script-reading zombies at Priceline dutifully read their scripts. Ignored my logical and reasonable request. And flat out REFUSED to either 1) refund my first room or 2) book me a 2nd (bc they were "full" meaning they had sold all THEIR pre-purchased block of rooms).
I am a proud American. But if this is what it means to be "corporate America" we're doomed.
I still remember the days, pre-Internet, when I could walk into a hotel and if they were booked, they would actually get on the phone and call COMPETING hotels to help you fin a place to stay.
Goodbye customer service. Hello to a world where you have no more voice than an online-complaint form.
The moral to this story is do NOT do business with Priceline for any reason. I know I won't.
