Window World - Shoddy Workmanship & Horrible Service Department
RACINE, WISCONSIN -- We had 10 casement windows installed for $5000 in 1996. Here it is 2013 & already two of the windows are broken. The locking mechanism breaks and you can't open or close the window. The quality of the window, the workmanship is very poor. The receptionist told me that the service manager was leaving for vacation. She will return my call in about a week when she returns. Mind you, she was still at work today! I just wanted to make an appointment to get a serviceman out to the house! How difficult is that!?! Of course the service manager didn't return my call so I had to call her. She was rude & argumentative. She interrupted me, insinuated I was lying about even purchasing the windows from them. The excuse for not returning my call was "she had to verify that I purchased the windows from them." In this age of computers how difficult is that...you type in my name & address & whah la there it is! And once again I had to hear about her leaving for vacation. How is this my problem? And she hadn't left yet! And what, all service call scheduling comes to a halt because the service manager is going on vacation! She even had the nerve to say to me "it's summertime, don't you like to take vacation in the summer?" All she had to do is make an app't for someone to come to the house. Finally, after all the rudeness & run around just like that she gave me a date! Now how difficult was that! These people have no clue how to deal with customers. Their product is poor, the installation was poor and their service stinks!!! I would never recommend them to anyone. In fact, I will spread the word around how horrible Window World is!
