Orbitz Using Deceptive and False Advertising to Gain Customers and New Business
Customer Service - Complaint
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Finally done with Orbitz - Big Scam!
Having been using Orbitz for some time, but finally got fed up with their deceptive and false advertising in order to gain customers and new business. Recently booked a the Doubletree Hotel in Augusta Georgia, in which Orbitz had the hotel listed as having a FREE BREAKFAST. I booked the hotel and upon arrival, the hotel told me that the breakfast is not included, and I need to contact Orbitz, since they are responsible what they advertise on their website. I called Orbitz, and they pointed the finger to the hotel. This is just plain BS!
To top it off, the Obitz's rate is no better than if I booked the hotel directly. As a matter of fact, if I booked the hotel directly with my Hilton Awards FREE membership, I would have received 15,000 points that could have been used for another stay. Using Orbitz, I got ZERO points, for the same rate. I found out that this is true for any rewards memberships, by using Orbitz you get no reward points.
Orbitz is a scam, and saves you nothing!
