Jordan's Furniture - Useless Warranty
Bedding Department - Complaint
NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Approximately 8 year ago we purchased the top of the line Simmons Beautyrest Black king size mattress from Jordan's - about $2500 just for the mattress. Now the memory foam has permanent impressions in it clearly from a break down in the foam. I contacted Jordan's support who was very responsive. They informed me it was not possible to just replace the foam pad but could send out someone to check it to see if it was covered under warranty.
Again all went well until the letter came a week later informing me it was not covered under the warranty due to three small soil marks - each about 6" in size. There has been a mattress cover on this since the day we bought it. The soil marks are small ring which can easily be sponged out ( in hindsight I should have pressed them out) and are no where near the impressions. The impression in the foam is clearly from body weight.and are about 2" deep.
Not only is it now not covered but they have marked the warranty as void so I can't even clean it and resubmit the claim - I am sure it would then just be a different excuse not to support the warranty.
Lesson learned from now on I will buy less expensive mattress and put a separate $100 memory foam pad on it so when the foam breaks down it can be replaced.
I'd rather have to dispose of a $500-$700 mattress after 8 years instead of a $2500 matttess!
