Mars/M&M - Inappropriate Ad With M&M Being Put Into Oven

This ad depicts an M&M (humanized) being put into an oven while the Meatloaf song "All For Love" is playing in the background.

As a Jew, I am horrified by this portrayal of putting humans (albeit cartooonized) into an oven, as it represents to me the horrors of what happened in Germany by the Nazis during WWII.

I don't know what the ad agency was thinking with this, but surely someone fell asleep during their sensitivity review.

I am hopeful that someone will recognize this and either modify or stop this commercial.

i, as an american jew, do not find this commercial horrifying.

if this commercial is offensive, then the childhood story of hansel and gretel should also be removed from history.

its not human, its not even real. its a m and m, you can bake those in cookies. if you really don't like the commercial, change the channel. you can choose not to see it or buy it. its your choice.

First, the song is "I'd Do Anything for Love(But I Won't Do That)".

Second, the commercial shows a number of things that an M and M *wouldn't* do for love, things that would be dangerous to a chocolate candy. The oven is the extreme of these--an M and M would melt in there.

If you don't like the commercial, switch channels or buy different candy. I think it's clever, and I LOVE the song!

I too am Jewish and I do not see anything wrong with this commercial. They were candies. It was a cartoon. As the others have said, if you ban this, then better ban Hansel and Gretel as well.

It's a cartoon candy. The commercial is a far cry from the Holocaust. This country needs to be less sensitive.
