Allstate Auto Refusal to Pay Complete Claim Payment
Allstate Payment Processing - Complaint
PO BOX 650048, TEXAS -- My husband had a car accident which resulted in our car ( which had 35,00 miles) being totaled by the other driver. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. The driver of the other vehicle is insured by Allstate. Arbitration found her 100% responsible for the accident. Till we found out that our car was totaled, and with the rental and purchase of another car, it took twenty (20) days.
As we did not have car rental on our policy, we were advised by our agency, Travelers, that Allstate should reimburse us for the $730.00 rental fee. This was for the 20 days @ $32.00/day with taxes, and did not include gas, etc..
We sent Allstate the bill for the rental fee, several times, which they completely ignored. Finally, after Travelers spoke to them, they sent a check For $307.00. They refused to pay the balance of $425.00 (which they agreed we were entitled to) stating their guide lines were for 8 days only, plus taxes.
While Travelers did an outstanding job of helping us, Allstate was uncaring and unfair.. We were "not in good hands" at Allstate.
