Lee Informative - Not Made To Last - Lee Performance Khakis for Men

Review by cjs9473 on 2006-03-24
Last year we bought my husband 3 pairs of Lee Performance Khakis for his desk job. We noticed that the backs of the legs faded quickly and holes developed in his wallet pocket. He owns other brands of khakis and never had these problems. I contacted Lee, and to their credit, they replaced the three pairs of pants. That was less than six months ago, and guess what? Same problems. Already two pairs have become "work around the house" pants. Now I love Lee's jeans, but I would never buy or recommend their Performance Khakis for anyone who wants a pair of pants that last any amount of time.

I did say "to their credit" regarding their exchanging the pants, and that's why I didn't list my comment as a complaint. I did send them an email telling them my dissapointment in the replacement pants, but I didn't ask for an exchange - we'll see what their response is.

I wear Lee jeans! Guess I've had all my Lee jeans for at least 6-7 years. Newest are maybe 3yrs. old. They make a perfect fit in petites for me. Love the brand but I've never bought their khakis.

Hehe. I have solved the mystery of why Lee's have gone down hill. There was an add on the board advertising Lee jeans now avalible at Wal-mart. They dropped the quality to lower price. I saw a report on clothes sometime back and they said to lower prices alot of makers add paper to the cotton to lower cost. I think the show was about what they do to make outlet clothes cheaper. But you know if it makes a product cheaper it's done at Wal-mart.

We bought the pants at Kohls, so we thought they would be good quality. Like I said, I have Lee jeans that I bought at Kohls that I love and the quality is great. I really think the fabric they use for my husband's pants were inferior. I'm not sure, but I think they were supposed to be the kind that were stain resistant.
