Choice Hotels - Not A Happy Puppy
Entire Hotel - Complaint
ROANOKE RAPIDS, NORTH CAROLINA -- My wife and I were recently traveling through Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Because of good experiences with other Choice Hotels we seeked out others on this trip. We stayed at a Comfort Inn (VA324) in Fredericksburg, VA and were very pleased with the room, professionalism of the staff and even the breakfast before we left the following morning. For that reason, we picked another Comfort Inn (SC378) in Florence, SC for our next night. We had the same good experience.
For the above reasons we chose another Comfort Inn (NC483) Roanoke Rapids, NC to stay in on our return trip. We had a most unpleasant experience. The room smelled badly, was not very clean, the staff varied from adequate to rude. The morning breakfast was a jungle, unorganized, unappetizing and unappealing. We could not leave fast enough.
I felt the need to make this comment because we will reconsider our options the next trip we take based on the inconsistency of our experiences with these hotels. Especially since the Comfort Suite in Roanoke Rapids was the most expensive at $114.99.
We also had a hassle with the reward points program, which is really quite pathetic.
