Travelocity - Overcharged
Airline Reservations - Complaint
TEXAS -- I originally booked a flight to Atlanta and then had to change the dates. When I changed the dates I was told the change fee would be $283. The fee as paid but when I happened to check my bank account a few days later I noticed another fee of $40.00. I contacted Travelocity right away and they denied the $40.00 charge. Even though I kept explaining to the representative that I was looking at my bank statement and there as a charge. Next I called my bank who verified the additional charge and offered to do a conference call with Travelocity to verify the charge. I called Travelocity bank and they refused. They told me to contact there customer service department and send a copy of my bank statement and they would review it. At first I refused as I explained to the representative that I did not have time to go through all these hoops. But I decided to send the information. I did not hear a peep from them. Someone advised me to call their corporate office which I did and I was connected to someone who looked at my account and said we will reverse the charge in 3-5 business days then "Thank you and have a nice day". This took 1 call to my bank, 3 calls to customer service and 1 call to corporated to resolve. It was way to time intensive. In the future I will go direct to the airline to make my reservations. I'll just use Travelocity for research on prices. They have gotten way to big and they are not customer focused.
