Consumer protection service /CPS - Total Run Around About Product Repair or Status of Repair
Compaq CQ60 Laptop
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- I purchased a Compaq CQ 60 laptop on EBay. I also decided to purchase an extended warranty from Consumer Protection Service. Less than two months after purchase, the video began to give problems so I contacted CPS for service. It was easy to file a claim and they were very responsive till they received my unit then that is were the service ended. They have had my unit for over two months and the status of my repair changes daily from...sent to service center to...parts ordered...to sent to repair service and then the cycle repeats over and over. I have contacted them several times and each time the response I get is just a run around. Such things as... we ordered a new LED screen...to the parts are on back order...to we will get the service center to contact you to let you know when the repairs will be completed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WORTHLESS WARRANTY. If I ever get my unit back I will consider it a minor victory.
