Ashley Furniture - Broken Furniture and Poor Service
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchased a table from Ashley and it took well over a month to come in. When I removed it from the box it was damaged in 2 places. The drawer was split almost all the way through and the wood that the door was connected to was torn away from the side panel. I called for a replacement, only to be told that was not possible, they would only consider repairing it. I would have to take pictures of the damage and send it to them for review. So, they approved a new drawer and told me to call for a tech to come and replace it when the new drawer arrived (they refused to schedule the tech until I was in receipt of the new part). So, 2 weeks later the drawer came, I called customer support for a tech appointment and couldn't get one for another 3 weeks. In summary, I paid for new furniture and almost 3 months later ended up with a broken table repaired with super glue.
It is just not good business to scam people. If a customer pays for new furniture, that is what they should receive. Made me wonder if they sold defective furniture intentionally. I would NEVER buy anything from Ashley furniture again. I hope others will take this as a warning of the bad business practices of this company.
