VoiceStream Wireless Complaint - I need some help

TROY -- On November 3rd my daughter went into voicestream wireless at Oakland Mall.She explained to a worker named Jon Mozo that she was in the United States Navy and was being shipped to Norfolk Virgina and wanted to buy a phone that she can use there because she was tired of using payphones.He pulled up a map but Norfolk was not listed as a place to be able to use the phone.Jon told my daughter Shannon that the map was not updated but Norfolk was on the map.Shannon bought the phone with the 1 year contract with a $250.00 deposit.On November 15th Shannon left for Norfolk, she arrived there and called me from a payphone to let me know the phone does not work there.I went up to Voicestream on November 17 and confronted Jon, all he could say was she had 72 hours to return the phone.I called the store the next day and was told to call customer service(1-800-937-8997).I called customer service and talked to a very rude person, I wish I had gotten her name.She informed me Shannon would have to call them herself Why?She does not have a phone to call them and right now she doesn't have the time to call,I have authority to take care of her business back home.This female also told me that voicestream might waive it but she doudted it.All I want is the phone to be shut off and her deposit return to her, she was taken advantage of by Jon.How was she suppose to know the phone would not work in Norfolk, she believed what Jon told her.Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

I have gone to the store and talked to Jon, I have called the store who referred me to customer service(1-800-937-8997
I have gotten nowhere

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
