Liquidation.com - Automatic Denials of Claims That Have Merit.
Dispute - Complaint
PLAINFIELD, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a lot from DIY Central and counted on the manifest to be honest. I was not a novice by any means, and it clearly states on all the other auction manifests, that if a set is not complete, they state it is not a complete set. NOT DIY CENTRAL. Since I had my shippers pick up the lot, Liquidators will automatically deny any claim. I only expected what was on the manifest, that's all. Instead I receive only part of a dining set, a ripped canopy (stating it was new), a severely damaged Ottoman (stating new also on manifest) and then the best of all....no fasteners, nuts or bolts to put any of the remaining items together. And when I was sent an affidavit to sign, and asked to submit all the pictures and explanations, they had no intent on processing the claim. They put me through the hours of work, just to deny my claim with a generic reply. Stating that I had a pop up button that I checked that stated if I had arranged my own shipping, I forfeited all of my rights to a dispute or claim. I can imagine, how many others have been taken by their scams.
Of course you are going to get your own shipper. If you had them ship to you, you would be paying retail prices for the lot of returned goods.
That is insane, and I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. I suggest anyone else that has this type of complaint do the same.
