Best Buy Informative - Poor customer Service
VIRGINIA -- I received an item as a gift and by the time that the giver gave me the receipt to return the item to best buy the their 30 day policy had lapsed. The manager was rude and indignant that their policy was 30 days and that they would not return the product. I was not looking for cash, I was willing to accept store credit. However, his hatefullness on the subject, I left the items in the store and walked out as I could not use them and they would not take them back. It then occured to me that with this policy, many people probably got mad and left the items there, and that they made extra margin - clear margin on these items. That is their goal. They are stealing from their customers. They then sell these items again. It is the biggest scam going. A short window for returns, must have receipt, then if not, make customers made so that they leave items and then resell them. I called the customer service line and was told that these items are considered abandoned merchandise. They have a term for them so it happens often. Consumers must stop shopping at Best Buy.
