Priceline - First Purchase, Never Again!
Customer Service - Complaint
I booked a hotel room on Priceline and paid for it 2 weeks ago. I called to cancel it today (marriott) and Priceline told me that even though the reservation is ONE WEEK AWAY- I cannot cancel it. They claim they sent me a cancellation policy stating this BEFORE I booked. I do not have their cancellation policy. In addition, my confirmation page does not say this was or is a FINAL sale.
Priceline claims this is a Marriott policy. I called Marriott and they say it is a Priceline policy. Who would you believe?
Now, I have to try to take this up with my credit card company to attempt a refund on my credit card. In my opnion, this aggravation is not worth the $25 I saved by using the Priceline service.
My advice is to pay full price and STAY CLEAR of Priceline. The customer service people at Priceline use the broken record technique. Yes., lets add some insult to injury and have customer service people without any authority to actually help the customer. They merely state 'its in the cancellation policy' over and over and over again. No customer service skills at all. AWFUL!!! just AWFUL!!! Never again!
