Review by ridgeline on 2006-03-29
VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA -- IN DECEMBER OF 05 WE PURCHASED AN 06 HONDA RIDGELINE RTL W/MOONROOF. RTL HAD A NAVIGATION SYSTEM. WE SAW THE TRUCK AND TOOK IT FOR TEST DRIVE. BUT WE WANTED IT WHITE AND DIDN'T HAVE IT. IT WAS GOING TO DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY, NEXT DAY CAME BUT IT DID NOT HAVE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. BECAUSE, IT WAS JUST FOR SHOW(THEIR VERSION)
WE TOLD THEM OVER AND OVER" IT'S GOING TO HAVE EVERYTHING WE WANT RIGHT?" OF COURSE THEIR ANSWER WAS ALWAYS " OF COURSE " AFTER WE HAD A DISCUSSION THEY(SALE MAN AND FINANCIAL MANAGER) SAID "YOU CAN ALWAYS PURCHASE IT LATER". THEY NEVER SAID THAT IT WAS NOT FOR INDIVIDUAL SALE.WE THE CONSUMERS TEND TO BELIEVE BIG COMPANIES. 4 MONTHS LATER WE WANT TO GET THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM
NOW THEY TOLD US YOU HAD TO ORDER IT AT TIME OF PURCHASE. WELL NOW HONDA DON'T WANT SELL THE PART AND SAID "IF YOU INSTALL AFTERMARKET ACCESORIES AND SOMETHING GOES WRONG IT WILL VOID WARRANTY.
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME WHAT CAN I DO, DO I HAVE RIGHTS, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP? HELP ME PLEASE

As a person who dealt with a few dealerships and even worked for one, you tend not to believe everything they tell you. They want to make the sale and whatever happens after the sale you are on your own. You need to contact the regional office of Honda. I say this cause customer service won't care but the regional office will. The regional office handles all customer complaints against dealerships in there region. Tell them nicely your situation and how the dealership treated you. Make sure you have all documentation, including who you talked to at the dealership and what they said. Honda may even give you a deal to have a navigation system installed since the dealership duped you into buying a car without it.

You Sir, are an idiot. I bet you would go to a flea market and complain because there were no fleas.

Did you look at your purchase and sales agreement? The purchase agreement tells you what it is you're agreeing to purchase. That's why they call it a purchase agreement. If it's not on there- you aren't getting it. Pretty straightforward.
Have you looked at it? (Or did you just sign it in all capitol letters like your moronic post and call it a day?) Does it say "Navigation System" anywhere on it? Somehow I don't think it does.

"WE THE CONSUMERS TEND TO BELIEVE BIG COMPANIES."

Well, as I have said- You Sir, are an idiot. (Blindly believing big companies makes you one by definition.) And BTW, just how many people would you estimate work at this "BIG COMPANY"? 40? 50 maybe? I hardly think an automobile franchise could possibly have enough employees to constitute the label of being a "BIG COMPANY". (Not sure how many people have to work for a firm before they are "BIG" enough for you to blindly follow them though.)

Ranting and raving using all capitols and screwing up simple words like "SALE MAN", does not win you any converts either.

Give it a rest.
