ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN -- My son went to BW's in Rochester Hills, MI with a group friends on 9/6/13 after a high school football game and one of his friends ask for his wings to be double cook. The waiter (Brett) told my son friend, "if we double cook the wings they would be black as this kid over there" pointing at my son who was the only black kid in the group. I called the store manager Ken and he said he had to call his regional manager and HR because he never dealt with anything like this which was amazing to me.

I received a call from someone name Jerry who state he was head of HR. He told me they took Brett off the schedule for 2 weeks and moved him to another location. I told Jerry I would not be eating at another BW's because I wasn't sure what location Brett would be working. Jerry asked to discipline his employees. Jerry said, sorry I felt that way and he ended the call. I was wowed after talking to the store manager and head of HR. I'm in management and this is what I get.

I agree that the waiter made a rude comment. However the HR manager told you what he did to discipline the waiter, and you made a comment implying that the punishment wasn't enough, so the HR manager asked you what you thought should've been done, then you deflected his question. You should've simply answered his question in a straightfoward manner IMHO. Then you mentioned that you wouldn't be going to another BW's, which told Jerry that they had lost you as a customer and therefore there was little reason on his end to continue the discussion. I really don't know what else the HR Manager could've done to appease you as you had clearly made up your mind about your future relations with the company.
