Dish Network Double Billed Me and Overdrew My Checking Account.
Customer Service - Complaint
DENVER, COLORADO -- On August 28, 2013, I sent a check for $82.94 to Dish Network to cover my September bill. On September 3, a message popped up on my TV screen telling me that I would be disconnected and charged a fee if I did not pay $82.94 immediately. I contracted Dish Network and paid the bill. Dish Network assured me that the original check would be returned to me. Dish Network processed my first payment on September 4. They also cashed my check on September 5. My check to my landlord bounced on September 6.
I contacted Dish Network on September 8. They offered to refund the amount I was over billed but they would not cover any of the overdraft charges. I raised a stink and they ultimately agreed to cover the NSF charge with the bank. They credited my account for the NSF charge on September 10, but as of September 14, I am still waiting for them to refund the amount of the original I contacted them several times but each time my refund was 2-3 days in the future.
